Indoor Toddler Activities to Survive the Winter

I don’t know about you, but when I’m stuck in the house with the kids for too long, I go a little stir crazy! And lately, with Jacob’s naps changing and it being so cold outside, we have been stuck in the house. So, we’ve had to get creative to keep ourselves busy and not feel too cooped up! These are some of the activities that we’ve been doing (most I found on Pinterest and Instagram).

1. Window Markers - Good ol‘ Santa got Emilia Window Markers for Christmas and you should see the masterpieces that she creates on the windows!

2. Sensory Bins - We just recently got the Flisat Table from IKEA and it is perfect for sensory bins! Put anything in there from water beads, rice, cooked noodles, snow, sand to water. Then add measuring cups/spoons, scoops, toy animals, blocks and the list goes on.

3. Tape Car Tracks - Grab a roll of masking tape, stick it to the floor and there you have car tracks! SO EASY! Emilia loved adding some bridges, houses and people.

4. LEGO Bath - I found this activity on @busytoddler and she’s amazing and full great ideas for toddlers!

5. Baking - One of my go-to activities to do with Emilia is to bake. I love baking and Emilia loves being my little helper. Not to mention, she loves eating the chocolate chips and sticking her finger in the butter! Lol. And who doesn’t want cookies and milk when it’s cold outside?

6. Spa Day - After seeing me come home one day with my toenails painted, Emilia’s been into having her nails painted too (or painting them herself)! I’ve been meaning to make a morning of it, soak her feet, trim her nails and paint them. Then, let her do the same for me.

This is what has been keeping us busy during this cold spell! What are your go-to indoor activities?
