I find the beginning of each season so exciting, like a fresh start and a bunch of new things to explore. I like to put together a bucket list of places and activities that I want to do with the kids over the coming season. I love seeing their excitement as they learn and experience the wonderful places in and around our city! And now with the cooler temperatures rolling in, cozy sweaters being worn and warm (pumpkin spice) drinks being served, I’m ready for all things FALL!

Fall Mums at the Garden Center: I love admiring the beautiful fall mums at this time of year. The array of colours are such a perfect transition from summer gardens into fall.
Virtual Terry Fox Run: This Sunday is the Virtual Terry Fox Run! It's going to look a lot different this year but their theme for the run is "One Day. Your Way." You can choose how you want to participate whether it's running, walking, biking or hiking. You can register online or through their app to help donate towards cancer research. I'm looking forward to our family going for a nice walk!
Schwabe Pumpkin Patch: I LOVE this pumpkin patch!! It is such a fun place and I look forward to going every year! There are so many different activities for kids to do. Everything from tractor trikes, rubber ducky races as well as fall/Halloween decorations to see and take photos! Plus, of course the amazing assortment of PUMPKINS, squash, gourds and vegetables! (Opening September 19th Wed-Sun from 10am-6pm)
Bake with Pumpkins: Fall=everything pumpkin. Some of my favourite pumpkin recipes are pumpkin waffles and white chocolate pumpkin cookies.
A Maze In Corn: What is more fall than the Corn Maze? Adventure through the corn maze or check out their pumpkin barn, the A Maze in Corn is open Wed-Fri from 5pm-9pm and Sat-Sun from 11am-9pm.
Sunset Goose Flights at Fort Whyte: From now until the middle of October, Fort Whyte offers the Sunset Goose Flights every evening at 6:00pm. This is something new to me that I’m really excited to take Emilia to see! (September 16th-October 18th at 6:00pm)
Rake and Jump in Leaves: I'm not a fan of raking but I definitely love jumping into a pile of leaves!!
Pineridge Hollow: Pineridge Hollow is beautiful at every season, but I love visiting there in the Fall with the colourful leaves. We like to say hi to the animals and of course, grab a bite from their amazing restaurant.
Storybook Lane at Deer Meadow Farms: I am excited to visit Storybook Lane for the first time this year! I've been so curious about it and just never made it there last year. It opens midway through October and is a family friendly Halloween activity. You take their wagon through the forest trail where you meet different storybook and nursery rhyme characters!
Walk and Picnic in the Park: With the trees changing colours, the parks are beautiful at this time of year!

What are your favourite Fall activities?
